The Potter's House Scholastic Chess Club is making great progress in raising financial and material support to start a scholastic chess team at Wayside Christian Mission. The chess team at Middletown Elementary, coached by Ken Harris, graciouisly donated 8 chess sets to the effort. A local business, Webb's Market, is giving thoughtful consideration to making a financial contribution that would cover instructional materials and a small stipend for a coach. We also received a matching donation challenge...for every dollar donated up to a total of 60 dollars, our anonymous donor with match the donation. That 120 dollar total will go towards purchasing team shirts for the Wayside team. So if you make a deductible donation to THE POTTER'S HOUSE SCHOLASTIC CHESS CLUB (P.O. Box 2241, Louisville, KY 40201) for the Wayside team it will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of 120 dollars.
