Daro Mott and myself were playing a tough game yesterday at Mike Johnson's house. We were both focusing intently, each of us finding excellent moves to parry each other's ideas. Then, I made a mistake going down a full piece. Daro was winning but the position was still complicated and he was low on time. In the end, it was a draw.

We were so focused, none of us noticed the swat team tactically moving towards the house at the end of the street.

Lesson: Remember, if you are focusing properly, you will not notice swat teams.

Wow!

Don't you know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one wins the prize? So then, run to win!

I find this wonderfully amusing, and yet not the least bit surprising. At least you didn't shush them.
