Thanks so much to all the fabulous Kentucky TD's that made Super Nationals run so smoothly. It was great to see so many friendly faces. I hesitate to make a post like this in fear of leaving someone out...but I will try to catch all of the awesomeness that our youngsters achieved representing Kentucky Chess. Several also notched autographs from Garry Kasparov...so it was a really big weekend. Vishwaa Kannan and Vallabh Ramesh from Brandeis Elementary teamed up to take the 10th place team trophy in the K-3 Blitz Tournament. Vallabh Ramesh finished tied for 7th as an individual. Caleb Marshall from Lexington Latin School finished with 6 points and finished in 6th place as an individual in the K-1 Championship division Rosa Parks Elementary finished 3rd in the K-3 Under 1000 division. Oliver Houchin won 5.5 points to take 11th place as an individual. Team members scoring 4 points were Ahaan Thomas, Kyle Yang, and Elise Trimble Rosa Parks Elementary finished 21st in the K-1 Championship division Brandeis Elementary finished 22nd in the K-3 Championship division Rosa Parks Elementary finished 31st in the K-3 Under 700 division Maryville Elementary finished 26th in the K-6 Under 1000 division Rosa Parks Elementary finished 29th in the K-6 Under 1000 division Lone Oak Intermediate School finished 28th in the K-5 Under 1200 division Crittenden County Middle School finished 16th in the K-9 Championship division Crittenden County Middle School finished 30th in the K-8 Under 1000 division Thomas Jefferson Middle School finished 31st in the K-8 Under 750 division Zoneton Middle School finished 27th in the K-9 Under 1250 division | |
