By virtue of placing first in the Open Section of last month's Action Championship, James has earned a spot in the Kentucky Closed Championship with defending champion Davis Whaley.  The remaining six spots, yet to be determined, will be distributed as follows:

5 from the Kentucky Open

1 from the Club Championship (more on this soon to come)

The 8 participants in this year's Closed Championship will vote to determine the format for next year.  The primary point of debate will be the number of players admitted into the event (six or eight).

For those interested in the Club Championship, please see my post regarding the 2012 Kentucky Kings' Championship under the Tournament Announcements section of the forum.

I thought that James was from West Virginia.  But I was incorrect.  Congratulations.
