Who was the TD for the Locust Grove tournament?  I just got an entry for this Saturday's tournament for Y. Chauhan who said they paid their USCF at the Locust Grove tournament.  I cannot find this person in the USCF online database.  Will you be taking care of the memberships before Sat?

Hey Mike,

John Simons was the TD for the event. His address is 3807 Therina Way Louisville, KY 40241 if you'd like to mail him the entry form. It is likely one that got mailed late. Thanks Mike.

I guess my first message was not clear.  The entry I received is for tomorrow's KSCC tournament.  The player indicated on the form that they joined the USCF last Saturday at the Locust Grove tournament.  As of now, the membership does not show up on the USCF website.

I have a potential situation brewing.  I have been burned a number of times in the past regarding memberships.  Therefore, I no longer allow a player to play in a tournament unless they have an active USCF membership. If they do not have a number in the morning, I will require them to purchase a tournament membership or not play.

As I understand it, John did not handle any of the entry forms or USCF memberships last week. I will talk to him later today and see if he knows anything. I would contact Karmen Omar. I believe either she, or she designated someone, had a booth for sign ups for the tournament as well as a check in table.

In the meantime, I will contact John and see what he says!!

I'll post back on here around 6 or 7 PM at the latest.
